Monday Morning Museum: André Kertész

André Kertész – Monday 2 July 1894 Budapest, Hungary to Saturday 28 September 1985 New York, New York

Hungarian-born American Photographer

It was in the midst of his French period (circa 1925 to 1936), that Kertész shot this photograph - Clock of the Académie Française, Paris, 1932 – looking towards the Pont des Arts and the Palais du Louvre, places I’ve been often and enjoyed.

Last Monday’s Artist - Paul Cézanne
Next Monday’s Artist – Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky
