Monday Morning Museum: Paul Cézanne

Paul Cézanne – Saturday 19 January 1839 Aix-en-Provence, France to Monday 22 October 1906 Aix-en-Provence, France

French Post-Impressionist Painter

In keeping with presenting landscape works by Paul Cézanne, this piece – In The Woods, 1897-1898 – appeals to me because of the cool colors used, giving a refresh sense to the subject matter.
